• Stuart moved to Charlottesville from NYC in December of 1990. He started Rifkin Associates, with a focus on the hospitality industry, in the spring of 1991. He has owned a share of many restaurants in the local market and assisted in the development and operation of many others. His personal experiences include lease negotiations, commercial and residential real estate purchases, and business acquisition. Michael first moved to Charlottesville in 1977 to attend the University of Virginia.  After graduating with a History major and returning to New York, he chose to permanently relocate to Charlottesville in 1990.  Mike has been a licensed Realtor since 1994 and earned his Broker's license in 2000.  His numerous satisfied clients will testify as to Mike's tirelessness, dedication and integrity.  He has owned and managed rental property locally for more than ten years, served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for his UVA fraternity, Alpha Tau Omega, and is an active member of the Charlottesville Association of Realtors, serving on the Professional Standards Committee and the Greivance Committee.
